Veteran broadcaster and media entrepreneur Adebayo Faleke has unveiled a new podcast, CORE ROOM, designed to foster thoughtful, reflective and intellectually grounded conversations in Africa’s digital media space.
In an era increasingly driven by speed, virality and shrinking attention spans, the podcast positions itself as an alternative platform where discussions are deliberate, calm and substance-driven. Drawing on decades of experience in broadcasting, Faleke—popularly known as Bayo Oo and Kaakaki Olódùmarè—anchors the show with a focus on intelligent dialogue and critical thinking.
CORE ROOM explores a wide range of themes, including culture, leadership, governance, identity, creativity and the shared human experience, offering audiences content that moves beyond sensationalism and hurried narratives.
The podcast is produced from Faleke’s newly completed, state-of-the-art studio in Ibadan. Built to international standards, the facility doubles as a creative hub for premium content production. Its minimalist and intentional design reflects the philosophy behind CORE ROOM—purposeful, enduring and thoughtful storytelling.
Explaining the vision for the project, Faleke said the podcast was created to provide a space “where conversations are not rushed, sensationalised or compromised,” describing it as “a room where ideas are free to breathe and truth can be examined without fear or distraction.”
Faleke is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of TV Afrikana, a fast-growing digital broadcast platform under Africa Integrated Communications Ltd. He also serves as Group General Marketing Manager at Fresh FM Nigeria and General Manager of Tiwantiwa Radio, both owned by renowned broadcaster and music icon, Dr. Yinka Ayefele (MON).
Beyond broadcasting, Faleke is a published author and respected creative in Nigeria’s film and audio-visual industry. His works include the book Dilemmas of a Country, audio projects such as National Cake (Parts 1 & 2) and Banana Republic, as well as films like Epistle to Baba Mai Gaskiya and Rubicon, which enjoyed nationwide cinema screenings.
With its emphasis on quality production and meaningful discourse, CORE ROOM is steadily emerging as a credible voice in Africa’s evolving digital media landscape. As content platforms continue to multiply, Faleke says his focus remains on creating work that transcends trends and contributes lasting value.
The CORE ROOM podcast is now streaming on the TV Afrikana YouTube channel and across major digital platforms.
