A South African lifestyle influencer and adult content creator, Leshaan Dagama, has dismissed claims by Senator Adams Oshiomhole that a viral video showing a man resembling him massaging a woman’s feet was generated using artificial intelligence.
The video, which began circulating on social media on Tuesday, shows a man alleged to be the former Edo State governor seated casually while conversing with a woman whose feet rested on his lap. The clip quickly sparked controversy online.
Initially, the woman in the footage was misidentified as Lara Fortes, the wife of Oshiomhole. However, Dagama was later named as the woman in the video, with reports indicating that she had first shared the clip on her TikTok account before deleting it shortly afterward.
In response to the viral footage, Oshiomhole’s media aide, Oseni Momodu, released a statement denying the incident and describing the video as a “poorly crafted AI-generated” clip. The statement condemned the circulation of what it termed unverified content, describing it as cyberbullying, and said efforts were being made to trace those behind the video. It also urged the public to verify information before making accusations against public figures.
Hours later, Dagama appeared to challenge the AI claim via her Instagram story. “Video wasn’t AI but okay believe your senator,” she wrote, adding a smiling emoji.
She also addressed critics in a separate post, redirecting blame to the lawmaker. “Your senator is the problem. Go be mad at him, not me,” she wrote.
The exchange has further fuelled debate on social media, with conflicting claims continuing to draw public attention.
