The City Boy Movement, a youth-driven group supporting President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid, has distributed food palliatives to Muslim and Christian communities in Cross River State.
The outreach, held on Friday in Calabar, saw over 5,000 boxes of essential food items shared among residents as part of efforts to support families during the festive season.
State Coordinator of the group, Okon Eyo-Ita, explained that the initiative was aimed at assisting Muslims celebrating Eid-el-Fitr and Christians preparing for Easter.
He described the movement as more than just an organisation, noting that it serves as a platform for youth mobilisation, civic responsibility, and grassroots engagement geared towards national development.
Eyo-Ita added that the Calabar event marks the beginning of a wider campaign to position the City Boy Movement as a unifying force and driver of positive change.
One of the beneficiaries, Ekaete Bassey, expressed appreciation on behalf of others, describing the gesture as timely and impactful for families during the festive period.
