Senator Agboola, who hails from Igbojaye in Itesiwaju Local Government Area of Oyo State, is the Chairman and CEO of the Alleluyah Group of Companies, with interests spanning oil and gas, hospitality, and agriculture. Known for his philanthropic works and mentorship of upcoming politicians, he is celebrated as a grassroots politician who has served at local, state, and federal levels.
In the 8th National Assembly (2011–2015), Agboola was the only senator elected on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) platform across the six South-West states and held the position of Deputy Senate Whip. He previously served as Oyo State Commissioner for Local Governments and as PDP Caretaker Chairman in Ekiti State.
