The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released the official timetable and guidelines for the 2025 bye-elections, pegging nomination form fees at ₦20 million for Senate aspirants and ₦10 million for the House of Representatives.
According to a circular signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, and obtained by SaharaReporters, the bye-elections will cover two senatorial districts, five federal constituencies, and nine state House of Assembly seats. Primary elections will be held in July, with the final polls scheduled for Saturday, August 16, 2025.

- Notice of Election to State Chapters: Monday, June 30
- Membership Revalidation/Update: Tuesday, July 1 – Saturday, July 5
- Form Sales & Submission: Monday, July 7 – Thursday, July 10
- Screening of Aspirants: Monday, July 14
- Screening Appeals: Wednesday, July 16
- Delegate Congresses: Thursday, July 17
- Congress Appeals: Friday, July 18
- Primary Elections & Ratification Congress: Saturday, July 19
- Submission of Candidate List: Tuesday, July 22 – Saturday, July 26
- Campaign Period: Saturday, July 26 – Thursday, August 14
- Election Day: Saturday, August 16, 2025
Only members listed in the party’s register and who have paid their dues up to July 2025 will be eligible to contest or vote in the primaries.
Nomination Fees by Office:
- Senate: ₦3 million (Expression of Interest) + ₦17 million (Nomination) = ₦20 million
- House of Representatives: ₦1 million + ₦9 million = ₦10 million
- State House of Assembly: ₦500,000 + ₦1.5 million = ₦2 million
In a gesture toward inclusion, the APC announced that:
- Female aspirants and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) will pay only for the Expression of Interest form, as the Nomination Form is free.
- Youths aged 25–40 will pay for the Expression of Interest form and receive 50% off the Nomination Form fee.
Additionally, delegate forms will cost ₦5,000 each. Financial members eligible to elect delegates must have paid party dues for at least three consecutive months at ₦200 monthly.
All forms will be available for purchase at the APC National Headquarters.
