Executive members of the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII) have paid a congratulatory visit to the Olubadan-designate, Oba (Senator) Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, following his nomination and approval as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.

The delegation, led by CCII President-General, Chief (Barr.) Sulaimon Adeniyi Ajewole, visited Oba Ladoja at his Bodija residence in Ibadan on Tuesday.
In his remarks, Oba Ladoja expressed deep appreciation to CCII executives and indigenes of Ibadan both at home and in the diaspora for their loyalty and support. He described the visit as a symbol of unity and collaboration, pledging to prioritize peace, unity, economic progress, religious tolerance, and the preservation of Ibadan’s cultural heritage.
“I know the needs of my people, and I am fully prepared, God willing, to address them,” the monarch assured.
Ajewole, while congratulating Oba Ladoja, described his ascension as a well-deserved honour anchored on law, tradition, character, and capacity. He noted that Ibadan people are hopeful that the new Olubadan will usher in a period of improved living standards and inclusive development.
He further reaffirmed the CCII’s commitment to promoting unity, security, and the socio-economic advancement of Ibadanland, stressing that the council, as the umbrella body of Ibadan indigenes worldwide, would continue to support the throne.
