As Muslims all over the world celebrate the birthday of Prophet Muhammed,an APC stalwart and grassroots politician, Prince Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye (MDII), has urged every Nigerian of Islamic faith to offer special prayers for the peace, progress and continuous progress of the country.
Abass-Aleshinloye, in a statement issued on Thursday through his media office, urged Muslims to use the occasion of the celebration of the birth of Prophet Mohammed to imbibe and promote the virtues of humility, love, peace, harmony and mutual co-existence which the prophet exemplified.
“It is a clarion call on all adherents of Islamic faith to rededicate themselves to upholding the admonitions of the Holy Qur’an in their personal lives and in their relationships with others.
He urged Muslims to use this period for deep reflection, fervent prayers, and extending hands of fellowship to the needy and vulnerable. May this celebration bring joy, peace, and prosperity to all Nigerians.
