The Olubadan-designate of Ibadanland, Oba Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja, has pledged that he will promptly fill all vacant positions within the Olubadan traditional chieftaincy line once he ascends the throne.
Ladoja made this known while receiving the Asipa Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Abiodun Kola-Daisi, at his Lagos residence.
In a statement issued by his media aide, Adeola Oloko, Ladoja also expressed his deep respect for the late 43rd Olubadan, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin, who recently passed away.
“I was not in Ibadan when Kabiyesi Olakulehin joined his ancestors,” Ladoja said. “He lived an impactful life and represented the traditional institution with honour. As Olubadan-designate, I want to assure everyone that there will be no delays in addressing pending vacancies in the chieftaincy hierarchy.”
During the visit, Oba Kola-Daisi extended his condolences to Ladoja over the monarch’s demise and pledged his full loyalty and support to the incoming Olubadan.
Oba Ladoja, a former governor of Oyo State, was recently confirmed as the next in line to ascend the revered Olubadan throne following the transition of Oba Olakulehin.
