The High Court in Lafia, Nasarawa State, has sentenced Oluwatimileyin Ajayi to death by hanging for the murder of Salome Adaidu, a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member.
Delivering the judgment, Justice Simon Aboki found Ajayi guilty of killing and dismembering Adaidu. The convict was charged with one count of culpable homicide, an offence that contravenes Section 221 of the Penal Code applicable in Northern Nigeria and carries a mandatory death sentence.
