Alhaji Mutiu Adisa Olaoluwa Sends Condolence to Royal Family and Ibadan People
The Nigerian Yoruba in Diaspora, Benin Republic through its President, Alhaji Mutiu Adisa Olaoluwa, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin.

In an official condolence message made available to dreportorialmedia, Alhaji Olaoluwa described the late monarch as a “symbol of dignity, unity, and peace” whose leadership left a lasting impact not just on the people of Ibadan, but on the entire Yoruba race.
“The passage of Kabiyesi is a monumental loss to Yoruba sons and daughters all over the world. Oba Olakulehin was a custodian of our culture and tradition, and his reign—though brief—reflected commitment to peace, wisdom, and unity,” the statement read.
Alhaji Olaoluwa, on behalf of Yoruba indigenes across the globe, extended heartfelt condolences to the royal family, the Ibadan Traditional Council, and the people of Ibadanland. He prayed for strength for the bereaved and eternal rest for the late monarch.
“May Olodumare grant Kabiyesi eternal rest in Àlà ọrun, and may the throne of Olubadan continue to serve as a source of pride and progress for the Yoruba nation,” he concluded.
Oba (Dr.) Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin, who ascended the throne in July 2024, joined his ancestors at the age of 90. His reign was marked by dignity and a deep sense of responsibility to his people and heritage.
