The Rivers State House of Assembly has called on Governor Siminalayi Fubara to immediately submit the list of commissioner-nominees for screening and confirmation.
The lawmakers, during their first plenary session since the lifting of the six-month emergency rule, also urged the governor to begin preparations for the state’s Appropriation Bill for the remaining part of 2025.
The resolutions were taken during Thursday’s sitting presided over by Speaker Martin Amaewhule.
The House emphasized the urgency of filling cabinet positions and passing a budget to ensure smooth governance and service delivery across the state.
Further details of the plenary session are expected to be released soon.
