Nigeria to Replace Aging Satellite with NigComSat-2A and 2B
The Federal Government has officially greenlit the roadmap to replace Nigeria’s aging satellite fleet. NigComSat Ltd confirmed this week that the procurement process for NigComSat-2A and NigComSat-2B is underway. These next-generation High-Throughput Satellites (HTS) are designed to secure Nigeria’s orbital sovereignty before the 2028 expiration of NigComSat-1R.
