Nigeria and US Sign $5.1 Billion Landmark MoU to Strengthen Health Security
On December 19, 2025, the Federal Government of Nigeria and the United States signed a groundbreaking five-year health cooperation Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This landmark “America First Global Health Strategy” agreement involves a combined $5.1 billion co-investment, with the U.S. pledging $2.1 billion in grants and Nigeria committing $3 billion in domestic funding to build a self-reliant healthcare system.
