Akin Olowokere, the newly appointed assistant coach of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), has died after collapsing during a training session on Monday morning.
According to eyewitness accounts reported by PUNCH Online, Olowokere suddenly slumped on the pitch during the club’s early morning training and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Olowokere, a former standout player for Sunshine Stars of Akure, recently joined the coaching team of the Ibadan-based club following a shake-up that saw the exit of former head coach Gbenga Ogunbote and his staff.
Known for his calm demeanor, Olowokere had previously worked under Coach Edith Agoye and was regarded as a promising tactician in Nigerian football circles.
