The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has sealed the national headquarters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), situated in the Wuse district of Abuja. The action took place around 2:05 PM on Monday.
According to reports, FCTA officials arrived at the building and directed the on-site security personnel to contact the appropriate authorities before proceeding with the closure.

This move follows the FCTA’s earlier announcement regarding the planned repossession of 4,794 properties across the capital due to non-payment of ground rent. These rents have reportedly been outstanding for periods ranging from 10 to 43 years. The enforcement operation began on Monday, May 26, 2025.
The administration has stated that the repossession process will go ahead irrespective of the ownership of the affected properties.
This decision was confirmed during a press briefing last Friday by Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, alongside Chijioke Nwankwoeze, Director of Land Administration, and Mukhtar Galadima, Director of the Department of Development Control.

It is worth noting that the PDP’s national secretariat, Wadata Plaza, located in Wuse Zone 5, was officially revoked on March 19, 2025, due to consistent non-payment of ground rent.
