The President of the Nigerian Yoruba Community in Diaspora, Benin Republic, Alhaji Mutiu Adelabu Ola Oluwa, has extended heartfelt greetings to Muslims in Cotonou, Nigeria, and around the world as they celebrate Eid-el-Kabir.

In a goodwill message shared with Dreportorial Media at the prayer ground, Alhaji Ola Oluwa described Eid-el-Kabir as a time of profound spiritual reflection. He emphasized that the celebration embodies the values of sacrifice, obedience, and unwavering faith in God—principles that resonate across religious lines and unite people of goodwill everywhere.

During the Eid prayers, which took place at Aidjedo carrefour saint Cecile in Cotonou, Alfa Rafiu Hamzat—representing Iman Khalifa Abdul Jelili Yesufu Imam Mosque Centrale Aidjedo—shared the spiritual significance of the celebration. He recounted the story of Prophet Ibrahim’s obedience and willingness to sacrifice his son in submission to God’s command, a narrative central to the meaning of Eid-el-Kabir.

Alfa Hamzat also urged worshippers to remain steadfast in their commitment to the teachings and mission of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), highlighting the importance of faith, dedication, and community unity.
