President Bola Tinubu on Saturday participated in the All Progressives Congress presidential direct primary at his ward in Ikoyi, Lagos, alongside First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu.
In a statement issued after casting his vote, the Nigerian leader said democracy thrives on active participation by citizens, strong institutions, and grassroots political structures rather than “noise, speculation, or borrowed platforms.”

stated that the ruling APC remained “focused, organised and deeply grounded across Nigeria,” stressing that the party was committed to nation-building and service to the people.

The president also took a swipe at opposition groups, saying while others were united by grievances, the APC was driven by structure, service, and governance.

According to him, the party would continue to strengthen democracy and deliver on its Renewed Hope agenda for Nigerians.
