The sudden death of popular gospel musician and evangelist Bunmi Akinnaanu Adeoye Omije Ojumi has sparked widespread shock and intense reactions across social media and religious circles.
Adding to the controversy is the resurfacing of a prophecy reportedly made in 2021, in which a prophet allegedly warned the singer about her death. At the time, the late gospel artist was said to have publicly dismissed the message, responding in a manner many have now described as bold and confrontational.
In 2025, Omije was reported to have developed what was initially described as a mild illness.
