President has shifted the commencement of his planned three-country trip from Saturday to Sunday, according to a late update from the presidency.

The change was announced on Saturday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, , via his official X account. He confirmed that the trip, initially scheduled to begin on Saturday, would now start a day later. No explanation was provided for the adjustment.

Tinubu is expected to depart Abuja for official visits to , , and .

According to an earlier statement, the president’s itinerary will begin in France before proceeding to Nairobi, where he will participate in the Africa-France Summit scheduled for May 11–12. The summit will be co-chaired by and , and will focus on key issues such as energy transition, digital innovation, and climate action.

The presidency noted that Tinubu’s participation reflects Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening ties with both African nations and France, while also promoting collaboration on economic and environmental priorities.

Following the Nairobi summit, the president will travel to Kigali to attend the Africa CEO Forum from May 14–15. The event, organised in partnership with the , is expected to bring together business leaders and policymakers to discuss investment opportunities and economic growth across Africa.

During the engagements, Tinubu is expected to outline his administration’s economic reforms and efforts to position Nigeria as a top destination for investment. He will also hold meetings with key global and African business figures.

The president will be accompanied by senior government officials and is expected to return to Nigeria after completing the Rwanda leg of the trip.
