The atmosphere at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) 74th Annual Convention became even more celebratory on Tuesday as the church’s General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, announced the birth of 29 babies within the first 48 hours of the week-long gathering.
The announcement, made before thousands of worshippers at the convention ground in Mowe, Ogun State, sparked applause and excitement as participants welcomed the latest additions to the RCCG family.
According to Adeboye, the newborns comprise 15 boys and 14 girls, all delivered at the church’s convention ground since the programme began on Monday.
For many attendees, the announcement has become one of the defining moments of the annual convention, which has earned a reputation over the years not only for its spiritual impact but also for the remarkable number of births recorded during the event.
Tagged “Mountain Movers,” this year’s convention has drawn millions of worshippers from across Nigeria and around the world for a week of worship, prayers, Bible teachings, and spiritual renewal.
Behind the scenes, however, the convention functions like a temporary city, complete with medical facilities and healthcare personnel dedicated to serving participants. Expectant mothers attending the gathering receive medical attention throughout the programme, making it possible for many to safely deliver their babies without leaving the convention ground.
The annual convention, which runs from August 3 to August 9, continues to blend moments of faith, celebration, and community, with this year’s 29 births already adding another memorable chapter to the church’s long-standing tradition.
