Iran has issued a stern warning to Arab countries hosting United States military personnel and facilities, urging them to remove American forces or risk becoming targets of Iranian military strikes.
The warning was issued by General Yadollah Javani, political deputy of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), in a statement published by Iran’s semi-official Tasnim news agency.
Javani advised countries hosting US forces to reconsider their presence, saying, “It is better to expel the Americans from your countries and take back the bases.”
He further warned that Iran’s armed forces had demonstrated their readiness to retaliate against military facilities and locations being used as launch or staging points for attacks on Iranian territory.
Javani specifically mentioned Kuwait, Bahrain and Jordan, all of which host varying levels of US military personnel or facilities.
His remarks come amid escalating tensions between Iran and the United States, following a fresh exchange of military strikes across the region.
Iran has carried out retaliatory attacks against US-linked military positions in parts of the Gulf and Jordan, while the United States has continued military operations against Iranian targets.
The latest warning has heightened concerns that the ongoing confrontation could widen, potentially drawing more countries in the Middle East into the escalating conflict.
