Oyo State Governor, , has appointed Abayomi Fagbenro as the new Special Adviser on Security.
The governor also named Arowosaye Adeyemi as Chairman of the Board of the Pacesetter Mineral Development Company.
The appointments were announced in separate letters issued on Monday and signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Segun Ogunwuyi.
Fagbenro previously served at the Department of Defence, Army Network Enterprise Centre in Fort Belvoir, Virginia, United States, from October 2007 to August 2012. He underwent military training in Great Lakes, Illinois, Chicago, and later studied at East Coast Polytechnic Institute and Strayer University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems.
Adeyemi, a Political Science graduate of the University of Abuja, earlier served as both the Caretaker Committee Chairman and Executive Chairman of Oyo East Local Government Area.
Governor Makinde congratulated the new appointees and urged them to see their appointments as an opportunity to serve the state diligently.
According to the statement, the appointments take immediate effect.
