President has approved the appointment of retired Major General as Special Adviser on Homeland Security.
The appointment was announced on Monday in a circular signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, , and transmitted through the Permanent Secretary of the General Services Office, Dr. Ibrahim Kana.
According to the Presidency, the appointment reflects recognition of Fadewa’s distinguished military service, strategic experience, and contributions to Nigeria’s security framework.
President Tinubu stated that the move aligns with his administration’s efforts to improve internal security coordination among relevant agencies and institutions nationwide.
He also stressed the need for intelligence-driven operations to tackle emerging security challenges across the country, noting that effective collaboration among security agencies remains essential for protecting lives, securing communities, and maintaining national stability.
“His appointment demonstrates our commitment to building a more responsive and coordinated security framework,” the President said.
