The City Boy Movement has praised the ₦100 million donation made to the Eji-Dongari Community in Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State, describing it as a major boost to grassroots development and community empowerment.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the group’s North Central Zonal Coordinator for Policy, Strategy, ICT and Implementation, Sola Ajimati, said the donation by Kwara State APC governorship aspirant, Abdulfatai Gambari, popularly known as Yahaya Seriki, would enhance economic opportunities, improve livelihoods and support sustainable development within the community.
Ajimati said the gesture reflects Seriki’s dedication to improving the lives of ordinary citizens through people-focused initiatives.
He noted that the intervention demonstrates Seriki’s commitment to grassroots development and responsible leadership, adding that his continued investment in community-oriented programmes offers hope and opportunities to residents across the state.
The statement also quoted the General Manager of Kursi Investments Ltd., Yahya Abdullah Shina, as saying the donation was made in appreciation of the support and cooperation the company has consistently enjoyed from the Eji-Dongari Community.
According to Shina, the initiative is aimed at giving back to the host community, strengthening the relationship between the company and residents, and promoting inclusive and sustainable development.
Seriki was represented at the presentation by his Chief of Staff, Kale Oloje, who formally handed over the donation to the community on his behalf.
Oloje reaffirmed Seriki’s commitment to community development, social inclusion and the welfare of the people, describing the donation as part of his long-standing philosophy of service and creating opportunities that positively impact lives.
The City Boy Movement expressed confidence that the intervention would further strengthen community-driven development, create more economic opportunities and promote peace, unity and social cohesion in the Eji-Dongari Community.
The group also called on political leaders, public office holders and corporate organisations to emulate such initiatives by investing in grassroots development and supporting the welfare of local communities.
