Governor of Oyo State and presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Seyi Makinde, has appointed Barrister Anthony Ehilebo as his Special Adviser on Media and Digital Communication ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The appointment, which takes immediate effect, was announced by Makinde’s media adviser, Sulaimon Olanrewaju. Further appointments to the campaign team are expected to be announced subsequently.
According to the statement, Ehilebo’s experience as a communication strategist and lawyer is expected to strengthen the APM’s media strategy and help advance the party’s campaign message of resetting Nigeria.
Makinde described the appointment as an important step toward building a strong communication team capable of effectively engaging Nigerians across traditional and digital media platforms.
The governor also called on Nigerians to support the APM, describing the 2027 presidential election as an opportunity to change the country’s leadership direction.
He urged supporters of the party to remain united and committed to the campaign, expressing confidence that the APM could secure victory in the 2027 election.
“With unity, courage, and determination, we will reclaim Nigeria’s destiny and deliver the future our people deserve,” Makinde said.
The appointment of Ehilebo comes as political parties and their candidates intensify preparations and strategic positioning ahead of the 2027 general elections.
