A popular herbal medicine seller in Ibadan, Oyo State, has reportedly been arrested over alleged links to a suspected baby factory operation, according to investigative journalist Seun Aribikola.
In a post shared on social media, Aribikola alleged that he had been investigating a suspected baby factory in Ibadan where vulnerable parents were allegedly manipulated into exchanging their sick children.
He further alleged that some of the children were subsequently killed, with their body parts reportedly sold for ritual purposes.
According to the journalist, several children have also allegedly been abducted from different locations, including areas around Oyo and Bode markets.
Aribikola claimed that the suspect allegedly operated under the guise of an herbal medicine seller (Alágbo) and also presented himself as a worshipper of the Osun deity.
The journalist said a more detailed report on the alleged baby factory investigation would be published soon.
The allegations have not been independently verified, and the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s reported arrest remain subject to confirmation by the relevant authorities.
