Reports have emerged that popular Nollywood actor has died after an alleged battle with kidney cancer.
A source within the Nollywood industry, who preferred to remain anonymous, disclosed that the actor was rushed to the hospital on Monday following complications linked to his health condition.
According to the source, Ekubo had been battling kidney cancer for some time before his condition reportedly worsened.
The actor was said to have passed away on Tuesday afternoon after spending several hours on life support.
Rumours about Ekubo’s failing health first surfaced in May 2025 after the actor noticeably disappeared from social media and public engagements for several months.
Checks also revealed that his last post on social media was made on December 30, 2024.
