Grief has struck the family of Mr. Remi Oladoye, the Public Relations Officer of the South West Guild of Online Publishers (SWEGOP), following the passing of his beloved mother, Madam Omotayo Ibironke Oladoye (née Adegunju).

In a heartfelt announcement signed by Mr. Oladoye on behalf of the family, he revealed that Mama Oladoye drew her last breath in the early hours of Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso, after a brief illness.
Born on July 3, 1948, in Orile Owu, Osun State, Mama Oladoye was more than just a teacher—she was a pillar of strength, a mentor to many, and a beacon of love and compassion. For 35 years, she shaped young lives as a dedicated primary school teacher in Ogbomoso, leaving an indelible mark on generations of pupils before retiring in 2013.

Her life was one of selflessness, deep faith, and service to God and humanity. A devout Christian, she served tirelessly within the church and the community, offering counsel, comfort, and hope to many who crossed her path.
“She was a mother in every sense of the word. Her love was boundless, her faith unshakeable, and her commitment to the well-being of others, inspiring. Losing her leaves a void that words cannot fill, but we are comforted knowing she lived a life worthy of celebration,” Mr. Oladoye wrote.
Mama Oladoye’s legacy of love, discipline, and generosity lives on in her husband, Pa Sunday Oladimeji Oladoye, her children, grandchildren, and all who were privileged to know her.
The family says details of her final rites will be announced in due course, as they prepare to give her a befitting farewell.
