Lagos businessman and socialite , popularly known as E-Money, has fulfilled his promise to gift ₦50 million to comedian following his win against street-hop artiste , also known as Portable.
Carter Efe secured a unanimous decision victory over Portable at the Chaos in the Ring 4 celebrity boxing event held at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, on Friday night.
Speaking after the bout, E-Money confirmed the cash reward when prompted by event organiser . Congratulating the comedian, he reiterated his commitment, stating that he always stands by his word.
Adamu, the CEO of Balmoral Group Promotions, expressed satisfaction with the event, noting that it delivered exciting and entertaining fights, while hinting at more editions to come.
In other bouts of the night, emerged as the new WBO Africa cruiserweight champion after edging by split decision in a contest described as a symbolic “peace fight” between Niger Delta communities.
Similarly, claimed a WBO Africa title with a unanimous decision win over former WABU champion .
The headline fight between Carter Efe and Portable followed weeks of heated exchanges between both entertainers. Portable, who previously defeated and in exhibition matches, had expressed confidence ahead of the clash, promising to secure another belt.
However, it was Carter Efe who dominated proceedings. Despite Portable’s aggressive and unorthodox style, the comedian maintained composure, landing cleaner punches and effective combinations throughout the fight.
All three judges scored the contest 30-27 in favour of Carter Efe, sealing a comfortable victory and crowning him the celebrity boxing champion of the night.
