Social media personality claimed a decisive victory over street-hop singer in a celebrity boxing showdown held Friday night in Lagos.
The bout, part of the “Chaos in the Ring 4” event at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, saw Efe dominate across three rounds to secure a unanimous decision from the judges, all of whom scored the fight 30-27 in his favour. The win ends Portable’s unbeaten run in celebrity boxing and strips him of his self-styled “boxing king” status.
Portable, known for his hit “ZaZoo Zehh,” had entered the ring brimming with confidence, boasting ahead of the fight that he would add a third title to his collection after previous victories over Charles Okocha and Speed Darlington. He had dismissed Efe as an easy opponent, but the comedian remained unfazed, boldly predicting a knockout.
In the ring, Portable started aggressively, throwing wild punches in an attempt to overwhelm his opponent. However, Efe maintained composure, effectively absorbing the pressure and responding with well-timed counters, including sharp uppercuts and body shots that exposed Portable’s vulnerabilities.
The second round followed a similar script, with Portable relying on erratic swings and frequent clinches, while Efe displayed improved precision and control, landing cleaner combinations. By the final round, Efe had firmly taken charge, consistently connecting with accurate punches until the closing bell.
