Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has reassured former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, that efforts are being intensified to secure the release of his abducted sister and her two sons.
The governor gave the assurance on Friday during a condolence and solidarity visit to Adelabu following the kidnapping incident.
Speaking to journalists after the meeting, Makinde said he visited to update the former minister on actions already taken by the state government and security agencies in response to the abduction.
According to the governor, authorities are working tirelessly to ensure the victims are rescued safely and reunited with their family.
He expressed confidence that the ongoing operations would yield positive results, assuring Adelabu and his family that the government remains fully committed to securing the release of the abductees.
Makinde also emphasized that the state government would continue collaborating with security agencies until the victims are safely returned.
