Self-acclaimed relationship therapist and social media influencer, , popularly known as Blessing CEO, has been arraigned by the over an alleged N36 million fraud case before the Federal High Court in Lagos.
Blessing CEO appeared before Justice D.I. Dipeolu at the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi on Friday on a two-count charge bordering on obtaining money under false pretence and alleged stealing.
According to the EFCC, the influencer allegedly collected N36 million from Mrs. Ifeyinwa Nonye Okoye under the pretext of securing a lease for a six-bedroom detached duplex located on Tunbosun Osobu Street, off Kuboye Road, Lekki, Lagos.

During the court proceedings, defence counsel P.I. Nwafor informed the court that the defendant had already refunded N24 million to the complainant and requested a brief adjournment to allow discussions on settling the outstanding balance.
The lawyer stated that the complainant was willing to persuade the EFCC to discontinue the matter once the remaining amount was paid.
However, prosecuting counsel S.I. Suleiman opposed the request, arguing that the anti-graft agency was not involved in any private settlement between the parties.
Suleiman maintained that the Federal Government was the complainant in the case and urged the court to proceed with the arraignment and plea-taking.
In his ruling, Justice Dipeolu held that any settlement discussions between the defendant and the nominal complainant could continue independently without affecting the ongoing criminal proceedings.
The judge subsequently directed the defendant to enter her plea.
One of the charges alleged that Blessing CEO fraudulently obtained the N36 million between July 14 and 17, 2024, by making false representations regarding the Lekki property lease.
Another charge accused her of converting the money, said to belong to Mrs. Okoye, for personal use.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Following the plea, the prosecution requested a trial date and asked the court to remand the defendant in custody pending trial.
Although the defence informed the court that efforts were underway to file a bail application, counsel requested that the defendant remain in EFCC custody pending the fulfilment of bail conditions.
Justice Dipeolu granted the request and ordered that Blessing CEO be remanded in EFCC custody.
The case was adjourned until June 5, 2026, for commencement of trial.
